Friends of the Long Island Lacrosse Community,
I’m excited to share an important initiative close to my heart—the LaCROSSe Out Cancer Challenge, supporting the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation (PCRF). Together, we’re working to bring hope and life-saving treatments to children battling cancer, as PCRF continues its vision to make it possible for all children facing childhood cancers to beat their disease and achieve their full potential so they can realize happy, healthy, productive futures.
What is the LaCROSSe Out Cancer Challenge?
A national challenge that unites all lacrosse teams, coaches and players of any age, gender or skill level in the fight to end childhood cancer. Proceeds will support pediatric cancer research across the country.
Accept the Challenge! Here’s How You Can Help:
- Complete 47 Reps in Honor of the 47 Kids Diagnosed Each Day: Take on the personal challenge of completing 47 reps (ex. groundballs, passes, shots) for a set period of time. Share your journey on social media to help spread the word.
- Host a Clinic or Event: Gather your team, community, or club for a clinic or game event to raise funds and spread awareness.
- Support with a Sponsorship: Join as a sponsor to directly fund groundbreaking research and support families navigating pediatric cancer. Your contribution will make a lasting impact.
Thank you for considering accepting the LaCROSSe Out Cancer Challenge. Together, we can help improve outcomes for children with cancer and make a difference in their lives.
Until there’s a cure,
Mike Nelson
