proudly invites you to join us on September 27, 2018 for the 28th annual Bernard
“Doc” Schoenbaum – Harvey Cohen Golf Classic at the Tam O’Shanter Club in Upper
Brookville, New York. This year we are proud to honor Eamon McAnaney
McAnaney debuted in 2011 as a network contributor appearing on SNY’s sports and
entertainment news shows before moving to a full-time position with the network in
January 2017.
McAnaney a native New Yorker, attended The Hill School before matriculating and
graduating from the University of Notre Dame where he lettered in lacrosse and
served as captain his senior year. Upon his graduation, Eamon started his television
career as a production assistant at ESPN in 1992. Eight years later, he became an
on-air personality working as a weekend anchor in Bangor, Maine. McAnaney moved
back to the New York area to become the sports director for the Channel 10 News in
Palisades Park, New Jersey. In 2001, Eamon returned to appearing on-air as a sports
reporter and news anchor with News 12.
In 2007, McAnaney was named analyst for MSG’s high school lacrosse game of
the week and later that year started covering lacrosse for ESPNU. By 2010, he had
become ESPNU’s lead play by play announcer for college lacrosse and has been
the on-air talent for regular season, NCAA tournament and Championship Weekend
through 2015.
Eamon continues to serve the game of lacrosse, serving as a member of the board of
