Chapter awards grant to Nassau Lacrosse Officials Association

At the February meeting of the Long Island Metropolitan Lacrosse Foundation (LIMLF) the board was presented with an appropriation from the Nassau Count Lacrosse Officials Association (NCLOA). The request was for money to help fund a mentoring program to help new officials. The LIMLF Board voted to award 1250.00 to the NCLOA to assist them. Experienced officials will be going to watch new officials during their games and give them helpful tips to help them improve as officials. The Nassau County PAL also awarded the NCLOA grant to help improve the game and many PAL games will serve as the classrooms for our newer officials. The grant will provide small stipends to experienced officials for each official they mentor.
